artistic representation of piano with sheet music in a wash of lavender and roseBrownstone Real Estate is proud to be a contributing sponsor of the Original Mount Gretna Cicada Music Festival, a highly anticipated, sold out event. The dazzling selection of entertainment kicks off at 8:00 PM, beginning Monday, August 7, with the final performance on Tuesday, August 15. From the classic rock and roll of America’s golden age with Phil Dirt and the Dozers, to the Everly Brothers Experience, and Hotel California—the original Eagles Tribute Band hailing from Ontario, Canada—there is something for everyone.

Summer is for Music in Mt Gretna

Amusic notes and the word music hanging on a wooden backdrops I put my pen to paper [so to speak], we are in the heart of the summer season at Gretna. August is without a doubt, the busiest month of activities at Mt Gretna. From the fabled Mt Gretna Art Show [the 40th this year], to the stage for theatre and music of all types, I don’t believe there is an evening when some type of performance is not available either at the Theatre, the Tabernacle, or the Timbers.

Brownstone Real Estate’s Hometown Series: Memories Are Made Daily in Mt. Gretna

recreational area by mt. gretna lakeTake a leisurely stroll in Mt. Gretna and it’s equivalent to stepping back in time. Residents of the area will tell you Mt. Gretna is a lifestyle, not a town. That philosophy has made this charming community a favorite for residents and visitors alike. From its quaint turn of the century cottages with inviting covered porches, to its shaded, tree-lined streets and idyllic postcard surroundings, Mt. Gretna is endowed with the vibrant echoes of yesteryear.

I’ve been fortunate enough to call Mt. Gretna home for the last eleven years. Prior to that I was a frequent visitor and, like most, quickly fell in love with the area. It’s an easy passion to develop given Mt. Gretna’s eclectic old-fashioned charm.
