Don Lechleitner founded Brownstone Real Estate Company in 1971, along with his business partner, Larry Peters. In time, Don assumed full ownership of the company before turning it over to Todd Lechleitner and Scott Campbell in 2007.

Don continues to be actively involved in land development, a specialty that has allowed him to spearhead the development of numerous new home communities in Dauphin and Lebanon Counties. Involved in all aspects of development, he contributes to organization and structure from the ground up, including zoning changes, subdivision plans, placement of utilities, recreation and all site amenities.

It is Don's practice to work diligently with landowners to evaluate their property's potential for development. He has been responsible for some of the most successful and desirable subdivisions in the area, including Jacob's Creek and Walton Spring Hills in Derry Township, Graystone Farms in Hummelstown, and Springbrook Farms, Stone Knoll and Northside Crossing in South Londonderry Township.

Don was instrumental in forming a public/private partnership to obtain federal funding for a new east-west connector road in Campbelltown as an alternate for Route 322, as well as playing a key role in the improvements to the intersections of Route 322 and Forge Road and Route 322 and Palmyra Road, slated to begin in the summer of 2008. His expertise has made him a frontrunner in the land development business, allowing him to go beyond the routine, as in the case of the Campbelltown connector road.
