Timber Hills

Timber Road begins at "center city" Mt. Gretna, the crossroads where the Post Office in Mt. Gretna Borough, and the Corner Deli, in South Londonderry Township, face each other diagonally, and eventually takes you to the Timbers Restaurant and Dinner Theater.  Along the way you pass Gretna's only apartments, spacious one-story buildings coveted by retired Gretna residents on two sides of a large meadow.  Farther along is the entrance to the Lake and more contemporary homes.  The front lawns almost betray a suburban atmosphere, but most of the homes are set in the dense Gretna forest.  Some have a view of "Governor Dick" Hill to the east; others face "Television" Hill to the north.

Conewago Hill

Just past the Lake on a loop are eighteen homes on the side of "Conewago Hill."  Like the majestic Conewago Hotel that formerly stood there, they overlook Lake Conewago to the east.  On the west slope of the hill is Timberbridge, Gretna's high-end "development."  These homes offer the advantage of unique Gretna living plus the comfort of a large contemporary home.
